The Dallas Cowboys win on opening day

Dallas Cowboys start season 1-0
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have finally won on opening day after four years. Last Wednesday night, the Cowboys beat the defending super bowl champions  New York Giants 24-17. Tony Romo had a spectacular game passing for 307 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Demarco Murray coming back from a broken ankle last year ran 22 attempts for 131 yards with a huge run in the third quarter turning a seemingly 3 yard loss into a 48 yard gain. Kevin Ogletree surprised everyone as one of Tony Romo’s best receivers with 8 catches for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Cowboys, after 11 days off will face the Seattle Seahawks on September 16, 2012 at 3:05pm at Sounders’ CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks are 0-1 after losing to the Arizona Cardinals 20-16 on opening day.

The Cowboys have the edge to win this game but need to be careful of this becoming a “trap” game. The Cowboys need to follow what Jason Garret has preached to take each game one game at a time.  Let’s hope the Cowboys can start this season 2-0.
